This Scotch Makes You Wish You Could Take It for a Drive
Buckle up—Bentley, the iconic luxury automaker, has teamed up with Macallan to create a whisky bottle that looks like something straight out of a sci-fi movie. In fact, its design is so bold that it even outshines Tesla’s edgy lightning-bolt tequila bottle.

The Head-Turning, Rule-Breaking Design
The bottle’s most eye-catching feature is a sharp 180-degree twist, but what truly sets it apart is how it rethinks whisky storage. Unlike every traditional whisky bottle you’ve seen, it has no flat base to stand upright—instead, it’s intentionally designed to lie on its side. The reason? Simple: cars move horizontally, after all.
Crafted for Luxury (and Automotive Spirit)
Bentley explains that the bottle was a collaborative effort, built by a team of specialized suppliers using a mix of masterful artisanal work and precision engineering. “This one-of-a-kind container breaks free from the classic vertical look of whisky bottles to mirror the horizontal movement of the automotive world,” the brand says. “Made with uncompromising excellence in mind, this partnership marks a new era of product innovation.”

That’s a big claim—but Bentley backs it up by noting the bottle uses seven premium materials. And yes, the whisky inside counts as one of them.
Carmakers + Alcohol: More Common Than You Think
At first glance, a luxury car brand diving into alcoholic drinks might seem like an odd match. But it’s far from the first time this has happened. Beyond Tesla’s viral lightning-bolt tequila, Scotch distillery Bowmore also has a collaboration with Aston Martin.
What It Tastes Like (Spoiler: No Engine Oil)
Don’t let the car-inspired design fool you—Macallan’s tasting notes don’t include a hint of engine oil. Instead, the brand highlights flavors of cinder toffee, crystallized ginger, and charred pineapple.

Limited Supply, Luxury Price Tag
The whisky was supposed to launch last year, but it faced delays. Now, only 700 bottles will be available—and each one costs $50,000. That’s the premium you pay for a luxury piece that skips the questionable AI-generated designs so common in some high-end goods today.
